Spinal Elements reaches 100th case with fixation system

Spinal Elements marked 100 procedures using its Sapphire X anterior cervical fixation system.

Tien Le, MD, of Total Spine & Brain Institute in Tampa, Fla. completed the 100th procedure with Sapphire X. It is a minimally invasive surgical anterior cervical plate system with streamlined integrated instrumentation and is one of the shortest plates on the market, according to a Sept. 10 news release.

Sapphire X was cleared by the FDA in July 2020, and the first procedure was completed in December.
