Dr. Curtis Kephart performs Florida hospital’s 1st knee replacement with surgical robot 

Curtis Kephart, MD, performed Delray Medical Center’s first knee replacement with the Smith+Nephew’s Cori Robot.

Dr. Kephart performed both a partial and total knee replacement, Delray Beach, Fla.-based Delray Medical Center said July 28. 

Delray Medical Center reportedly is the only hospital in southern Palm Beach County offering the Cori robotic system.

The Cori system is designed specifically for each patient, doesn’t rely on preoperative imaging and includes a handheld tool surgeons can use with their own techniques.
