1. The global surgical robot market is projected to reach $14.4 billion by 2026, up from about $6.4 billion in 2021. Rising adoption of surgical robots and increased funding for research are credited as key market drivers, according to MarketsandMarkets. 

2. In knee reconstruction surgery, robot-assisted procedures accounted for 11 percent of total cases in 2020. About 3 million knee reconstruction surgeries are done worldwide each year. By 2030, the number of robot-assisted knee reconstruction surgeries is projected to reach about 700,000.

3. Globus Medical’s ExcelsiusGPS robot for spine procedures has been used in more than 20,000 cases globally, the company announced July 15.
