Wilfred van Zuilen will be president of the company’s Europe, Middle East and Africa markets. He’ll oversee marketing, sales and distribution across that region. Previously he held executive and leadership positions at Medtronic, Covidien, Novartis and Edward Lifesciences.

Nitin Goyal, MD, will serve in a newly created role: chief science, technology and innovation officer. He’s a hip and knee reconstruction surgeon and previously served as chief medical officer and senior vice president of innovation and digital care delivery at Chicago-based Rally Health. At Zimmer Biomet, he’ll oversee research, product development and the company’s innovation platforms.

Both will report to Zimmer Biomet’s COO Ivan Tornos.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
