Five things to know:

1. The measurement technique combines deep learning and image-processing algorithms to reduce time and labor for lumbar spine X-ray interpretation.

2. The technology provides real-time measurements of pelvic incidence and lumbar lordosis, as well as abnormal findings such as spondylolisthesis.

3. The system uses artificial intelligence to provide X-ray imaging simulation and enable prediction of postoperative pelvic incidence and lumbar lordosis values for analysis.

4. The device can assist in surgical planning and offers precise calculation of implants for clinical diagnosis.

5. The Industrial Technology Research Institute, a research and development institution in Taiwan, is showcasing the technology at CES 2021, underway Jan. 11-14.
