6 spine surgeons, neurosurgeons honored

From the physician of the year at a professional society to a Canadian surgeon being recognized for outstanding achievement, here are the latest spine and neurosurgeons receiving honors:

The American Heart Association/American Stroke Association named Ciro Randazzo, MD, its 2020 physician of the year for his research on stroke care.

University of California San Francisco’s Edward Chang, MD, was elected to the National Academy of Medicine.

Three surgeons were announced as winners of the North American Spine Society’s 2020 Recognition Awards — Richard Guyer, MD, Jeffrey Wang, MD, and Michael Klein Jr., MD.

Nir Lipsman, MD, PhD, was honored in Canada’s Top 40 Under 40 list for 2020.
