8 spine surgeons on the move in October

From a new North American Spine Society president to an incoming CMO of a value-based healthcare organization, here are eight spine and neurosurgeons who accepted new roles in October.

Eeric Truumees, MD, became president of NASS.

Michael Gomez, MD, was appointed director of minimally invasive spine surgery at South Miami Hospital, part of Baptist Health South Florida.

West Plains, Mo.-based Ozarks Medical Center onboarded orthopedic and spine surgeon Troy Caron, DO.

Atlanta-based Peachtree Orthopedics added Robert Owen, MD.

Adam Bruggeman, MD, was named CMO of MpowerHealth and will serve on the advisory board of the value-based care-focused company.

The National Spine Health Foundation named Todd Lanman, MD, to its medical and scientific advisory board.

Raj Nangunoori, MD, joined Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Ark.

Munster, Ind.-based Community Healthcare System hired Venkat Kavuri, MD.
