Pennsylvania hospital performs its 1st spine case with updated navigation system

Meadville (Pa.) Medical Center  recently performed its first spine surgery with StealthStation S8, a navigation system that integrates with Medtronic’s O-Arm imaging system, according to The Meadville Tribune.

Three things to know:

1. Designed by Medtronic for spine and neurosurgery procedures, the technology provides real-time intraoperative data to assist surgeons accurately navigate surgical instruments.

2. StealthStation S8 includes improved patient registration, HD touch-screen monitors and upgraded imaging capabilities to streamline surgical workflow.

3. The system integrates with more than 200 Stealth instruments and implants and can be used with Medtronic’s O-arm imaging system.
