Dr. Snyder will continue practicing as an orthopedic surgeon “while influencing system-wide decisions and performance” in his new role, said Paul Hammes, CEO of the Elkin, N.C.-based hospital.
Dr. Snyder joined the medical staff at Hugh Chatham in 2009. From 2014-17, Dr. Snyder served as surgery chief at the hospital, and in January 2018, he became chief of the medical staff.
Dr. Snyder is a fellow in the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.
