Georgia hospital adds robotic system for knee replacements

Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, Ga., has installed the ROSA Knee Robotic System for total knee replacements, WTOC reports.

Three things to know:

1. ROSA Knee features 3D preoperative planning tools and intraoperative data on soft tissue and bone anatomy to improve bone cut accuracy and range of motion gap analysis.

2. The hospital performs 250 to 300 knee replacements annually.

3. The first patient is scheduled to undergo surgery with ROSA Knee June 22.
