Montana hospital offers total joint replacement with Stryker robot

Whitefish, Mont.-based North Valley Hospital recently installed Stryker’s Mako robot to assist orthopedic surgeons with partial and total hip replacements, reports the Daily Inter Lake.

Costing about $1 million, the Mako robot helps surgeons plan procedures and then guides them through the plan intraoperatively.

Three orthopedic surgeons have performed more than 80 procedures with the Mako robot at the hospital.
