South Dakota hospitals install Rosa system — 3 insights

Rapid City, S.D.-based Monument Health installed the Rosa Knee System to assist surgeons with knee replacement procedures, local ABC affiliate KOTA reports.

What you should know:

1. Surgeons use the Rosa during presurgical planning and then can use the system during the procedure to help execute the plan.

2. The hospital plans to use the Rosa system for partial knee replacements now, but will add revision knee procedures in the future.

3. Monument Health has the Rosa system at its Rapid City, S.D., and Spearfish, S.D., hospitals.
