Here are four spine and neurosurgeons making the news this week.

Orthopedic spine surgeon Samuel Adams, MD, is joining Wasilla, Alaska-based Pioneer Peak Orthopedic Surgery. Dr. Adams will see patients at Pioneer Peak’s clinic and perform surgeries at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center in Palmer, Alaska.

Spine surgeon Nitin Khanna, MD, and Mishawaka, Ind.-based Franciscan Health are participating in a national study on the long-term prognosis for patients who undergo micro decompression surgery to treat lumbar spinal stenosis. Dr. Khanna was selected as a co-investigator in the multicenter study and will analyze patients’ outcomes over the next five years.
