In a lawsuit filed on Sept. 4, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission accused NAO of refusing to hire male candidates because of their gender and retaliating against a male applicant who complained about the alleged discrimination.
NAO was accused of hiring women over more-qualified male candidates on at least two occasions.
Under the settlement, NAO is required to revise its hiring and equal employment opportunity policies and train employees.
