New Jersey hospital installs, uses Rosa robotic system

Summit, N.J.-based Overlook Medical Center successfully completed New Jersey’s first procedure with Zimmer Biomet’s Rosa Brain robotic system, Tap Into Clark reports.

The Rosa robotic platform is a surgical navigation and positioning system. Surgeons can use the robot to determine precise spatial positioning and orientation of surgical instruments. Chief of Endovascular Neurosurgery Ronald Benitez, MD, performed the first surgery with the robot.
