ORTHOCON Receives FDA 510(k) Clearance for HEMOSORB Apply

ORTHOCON, a privately-held therapeutic device company, has received FDA clearance for HEMASORB Apply, an applicator for the HEMASORB Absorbable Bone Hemostat Matrix, according to a company news release.

HEMASORB is used to stop bleeding during surgical procedures and when treating traumatic injuries. It is absorbable, biocompatible, water-resistant and doesn’t require preparation. The product is indicated for use in orthopedic and spine operative procedures, among other surgeries.
