Four things to know:
1. The new technology is part of Globus’s Expandable Technology portfolio, which includes devices that support a minimally invasive approach. Fortify VA is designed for an anatomical fit during the anterior cervical or thoracolumbar approach to the spine.
2. Fortify VA has up to 16 degrees of angulation during device expansion to align with the variable angle endplate based on the patient’s anatomy.
3. Globus Medical has more than 20 expandable implant options based on 15 years of engineering, testing and clinical experience.
4. In 2018, Globus Medical reported 12.1 percent sales increase year over year, hitting $713 million. The company projects 2019 sales will reach $770 million.
