What you should know:
1. Labs can use the clearance to run triglycerides and cholesterol; urea and creatinine; and glucose and calcium tests simultaneously.
2. The clearance will allow labs to run more tests without making an investment in additional analyzers.
3. Ortho Clinical Diagnostics also decreased the testing area required to run each test, which benefits patients with venous access issues.
4. Ortho’s North America operations head Michael Iskra said: “Labs today are challenged to run increasing volumes of tests in shorter time frames, with less physical space available for larger analyzers. … Our Vitros XT MicroSlides address these numerous challenges with one elegant solution.”
