Surgery center is 1st in Midwest to offer knee replacement with Navio Surgical System: 3 notes

Overland Park (Kan.) Surgical Suites is the first Midwestern outpatient surgery center to offer robotic-assisted partial and total knee replacement using Smith & Nephew’s Navio Surgical System.

Here are three things to know:

1. Surgeons can use the Navio Surgical System to obtain precise anatomic and alignment information to create a patient-specific surgical plan.

2. Orthopedic surgeon and Overland Park Surgical Suites Founder Scott Abraham, MD, has performed more than 100 robotic-assisted partial and total knee replacements with the system.

3. According to Dr. Abraham, the Navio Surgical System is well-suited for active adults in their 40s and 50s with knee problems.
