Orthopedic surgeon to know: Dr. Robert Walker of St. Luke’s Health System

Robert Walker, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at St. Luke’s Health System in Boise, Idaho.

Dr. Walker is also affiliated with Meridian, Idaho-based St. Luke’s Clinic and Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise.

With expertise in arthroscopic surgery and sports medicine, Dr. Walker serves as orthopedics medical director at St. Luke’s Health System.

Dr. Walker is the team physician for the Idaho Steelheads, Idaho Stampede, Nampa, Idaho-based Northwest Nazarene University, Professional Bull Riders bull riding and Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association rodeos.

He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a member of the American Medical Association.

After earning his medical degree from Lubbock-based Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, Dr. Walker completed his residency and a sports medicine fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn.
