Dr. Murray specializes in minimally invasive spine surgery. He received his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago and completed his residency at Chicago-based Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Dr. Murray underwent spine surgery fellowship training at Atlanta-based Emory Spine Center.
A former spine surgeon and clinical instructor at Baltimore-based Union Memorial Hospital, Dr. Murray was also part of the official medical team of the NFL Baltimore Ravens and received the Golden Apple Award for teaching excellence. He joined the University of Pennsylvania in August 2017 and has spearheaded efforts to bring computer-navigated and MIS surgery to Penn Medicine’s Chester County Hospital in West Chester, Pa.
He is actively involved in surgical education and works with insurance companies to create new coverage policies for spinal procedures.
