Dr. Mitsunaga specializes in scoliosis, spinal deformities and degeneration, spinal fractures and tumors. He received his medical degree from the Honolulu-based University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine and underwent orthopedic spine surgery fellowship training at Stanford (Calif.) University Medical Center. He also completed adult and pediatric spine deformity fellowship training at UC San Francisco Medical Center.
Dr. Mitsunaga uses surgical and non-surgical interventions to treat adult and pediatric spine patients. His research has been published in several peer-reviewed scientific journals.
