McLaren Central Michigan welcomes orthopedic surgeon: 3 details

Bejamin A. Cox, DO, joined Mount Pleasant-based McLaren Central Michigan’s medical staff, according to Clare County Review.

Here are three things to know:

1. Dr. Cox will serve McLaren Central Michigan’s new student athlete injury clinic, which will provide free injury evaluations to student athletes.

2. After earning his doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, Fla., Dr. Cox completed a residency at McLaren Greater Lansing (Mich.).

3. Dr. Cox completed a fellowship in sports medicine at Andrews Institute for Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine in Gulf Breeze, Fla., under the leadership of orthopedic sports surgeon James Andrews, MD.
