Community Hospital to welcome Dr. Louis Stryker: 3 notes

Louis Stryker, MD, will join Grand Junction, Colo.-based Community Hospital Sept. 1.

Here are three things to know:

1. Dr. Stryker is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in direct anterior hip replacement, muscle-sparing approaches to the knee and rapid recovery protocols.

2. With Dr. Stryker’s addition, the hospital’s spine and orthopedic and sports medicine departments will come together to form the Community Orthopedic Group.

3. Dr. Stryker received his medical degree from University of Texas Medical School at Houston and underwent fellowship training at OrthoCarolina Hip and Knee Center in Charlotte, N.C.
