Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. Roger Sung of Colorado Springs Orthopaedic Group

Roger Sung, MD, is a board certified orthopedic surgeon at Colorado Springs (Colo.) Orthopaedic Group.

Dr. Sung specializes in cervical and lumbar surgery, microsurgery and minimally invasive surgery. He also performs complex spine reconstruction using minimally invasive techniques and offers spine surgery with local or spinal anesthesia as an alternative to general anesthesia, enabling him to perform many complex surgeries in an outpatient setting.

 

Dr. Sung received his medical degree from University of California in Los Angeles School of Medicine. He underwent orthopedic spine surgery fellowship training at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. FOX 21 News recently featured him for implanting the Nevro HF10 therapy device through spinal cord stimulation surgery. HF10 spinal cord stimulation surgery is designed to reduce pain and dependence on opioids.

 

In his spare time, Dr. Sung enjoys skiing and golf.
