Catalyst OrthoScience adds George Rainey to board of directors — 4 things to know

Naples, Fla.-based medical device company Catalyst OrthoScience added George Rainey to its board of directors.

Here are four things to know:

 

1. Mr. Rainey is the founder and principal of CCI Performance Group in Ivoryton, Conn., an executive consulting firm designed to deliver sustainable business solutions for leading Fortune 500 healthcare companies and early-stage medical device ventures.

 

2. Mr. Rainey served as vice president of sales for the orthopedic division at Kalamazoo, Mich.-based Stryker Corp.

 

3. He served on the board of directors for Alachua, Fla.-based RTI Surgical and currently sits on the board of CAS Medical in Branford, Conn.

 

4. Orthopedic surgeon Steven Goldberg, MD, founded Catalyst OrthoScience in 2014 to make shoulder replacement surgery less invasive and more efficient for surgeons and patients. Catalyst is focused on the upper extremity orthopedics market.
