Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. Evalina Burger of University of Colorado Hospital

Evalina Burger, MD, is a spine surgeon and professor at Aurora-based University of Colorado Hospital.

Board certified in orthopedic surgery, Dr. Burger specializes in spinal deformities, spine injures, neck disorders and spine fractures. Additionally, she serves as the vice chair of orthopedics at the University of Colorado Hospital.

 

Dr. Burger is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, AO Spine North America, Scoliosis Research Society and Society of Lateral Access Surgery.

 

After earning her medical degree from the University of the Orange Free State School of Clinical Medicine in Bloemfontein, South Africa, Dr. Burger completed her residency Pretoria Academic Hospital in South Africa.
