Here are four takeaways:

1. Both companies expect the partnership to be final by Jan. 31, 2018. It will provide Implanet the opportunity to expand its Jazz platform in Asia and Oceania.

2. Within the U.S., Implanet will partner with Aegis Spine to boost its marketing of Implanet’s Jazz platform. Aegis Spine plans to market the platform on the East coast, where Implanet has little presence.

3. In Asia and Oceania, L&K Biomed will distribute the Jazz platform in addition to the company’s existing product portfolio. The two companies hope to jointly influence the Japanese spine market.

4. Implant will also distribute L&K Biomed’s implants throughout Europe. L&K Biomed and Implant believe their product portfolios complement each.
