Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. Philip Stahel of Denver Health

Philip Stahel, MD, is a spine surgeon and director of orthopedics at Denver Health.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Stahel is an instructor for the AO North America Musculoskeletal Trauma Education Committee and American College of Surgeons.

 

Specializing in spine trauma surgery, Dr. Stahel’s research interests include traumatic brain injury, periarticular fractures, spinal cord injuries and polytrauma.

 

After earning his medical degree from the University of Zurich Medical School in Switzerland, Dr. Stahel completed his residency at the University of Berne in Switzerland. Dr. Stahel is also fellowship trained from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
