Cedar Park Regional Medical Center opens orthopedic wing: 5 highlights

The Cedar Park (Texas) Regional Medical Center opened its new Joint and Spine Center, according to Community Impact.

Here are five highlights:

 

1. The $6 million center has 15 beds dedicated to orthopedic cases and specialized nurses and physical therapists.

 

2. The wing will begin accepting patients on Aug. 7, 2017.

 

3. Before constructing the new wing, elective orthopedic surgeries were placed on the surgical schedule and often bumped for emergency surgeries. The new wing will create a dependable schedule for orthopedic procedures.

 

4. The Joint and Spine Center is the first hospital wing to open on Cedar Park Regional Medical Center’s fourth floor, which has room for two more wings in anticipation for growth.

 

5. Physicians hope to provide better outcomes to patients due to the specialized nurses and physical therapists in the wing.
