2. An autoimmune condition, myositis involves a person’s immune system attacking its own muscles, which causes inflammation.
3. The HHS Myositis Support Group allows patients to share their own experiences living with the condition and discuss coping mechanisms.
4. Guest speakers also appear at the support group, presenting on various topics including medical research and alterative treatments.
