Orthopedic surgeon to know: Dr. Leo Ludwig of Orthopedic Center of Illinois

Leo Ludwig, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon and director of Springfield-based Orthopedic Center of Illinois.

Dr. Ludwig specializes in joint reconstruction and hand and shoulder, fracture and injury and general orthopedics.

 

He serves as clinical assistant professor at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield. Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, Dr. Ludwig is also serves as an oral examiner for the board.

 

Dr. Ludwig is a fellow of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, a member of the American Medical Association, Illinois State Medical Society and more.

 

After graduating from Southern Illinois University of Medicine, Dr. Ludwig interned and completed his residency at Lexington-based University of Kentucky Medical Center. He then underwent training as a Christine Kleinert Fellow in Hand Surgery in Louisville.
