First EOS Systems installed in China — 4 takeaways

EOS imaging announced its EOS systems have been installed in two leading Chinese hospitals.

Here are four things to know:

 

1. The systems were installed at Jiangsu Sheng-based Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital and Shanghai-based Ruijin Hospital.

 

2. An affiliate of Nanjing University Medical School, Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital provides care to roughly 80 million area residents and is a national reference center for adult and pediatric orthopedic and spine surgeries.

 

3. Ruijin Hospital is a general teaching hospital offering care to over 23 million Shanghai-area residents and more. It’s orthopedic and radiology departments mostly treat adult patients.

 

4. EOS imaging markets its products in 51 countries. Its 2016 revenues totaled $33.6 million.

 

EOS Imaging CEO Marie Meynadier said, “China represents a large market opportunity for our technology that is receptive to state-of-the-art technology as much as to healthcare efficiency. We are pleased that the EOS system is now available to patients served by two leading institutions.”
