1. The study examines InVivo’s Neuro-Spinal Scaffold, designed to treat patients within the first few hours after spinal cord injury.
2. Brigham and Women’s Hospital is the 31st trial site and Yi Lu, MD, PhD, will serve as the principal investigator at the site.
3. The Neuro-Spinal Scaffold is an investigational device that has received the Humanitarian Use Device being evaluated for patients with acute and complete AIS A, thoracic traumatic spinal cord injury and a pilot study for acute, complete AIS A, cervical traumatic spinal cord injury.
4. There are 14 patients enrolled in the study and seven have reported an AIS grade improvement one month after the procedure.
