Stryker, Smith & Nephew Bring On Famous Athletes as Spokespeople

Stryker’s orthopedic division has announced that Fred Funk, a professional golf player and personality, will serve as the spokesperson for the company while Smith & Nephew recently named tennis player Billie Jean King as spokesperson, according to company news releases.

Mr. Funk received a total knee replacement using Stryker’s Triathlon Knee System and later returned to the PGA Champions Tour. As spokesperson, Mr. Funk will focus on educating current and prospective patients on total knee replacement.

Ms. King received a double knee replacement using Smith & Nephew’s LEGION knee and VERILAST technology. As spokesperson, she will promote the company through the personal story of her success.
