Dr. Stephen Teal dies — 3 notes

Stephen Teal, MD, has died, according to Corvallis Gazette Times.

Here are three things to know:  

 

1. Dr. Teal was an orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine physician.

 

2. He opened a private practice in McMinnville, Ore., in 1974 and remained an active physician in the area for over 30 years.

 

3. Dr. Teal obtained his medical degree from Portland-based University of Oregon Medical School (now OHSU) before completing his internship in San Bernardino, Calif., and his residencies in Wichita, Kan., and Denver. During his time in Denver, Dr. Teal served as the associate team physician for the NFL’s Denver Broncos.
