Wenzel Spine acquires OsteoMed’s interspinous, facet fixation platforms: 5 insights

Austin, Texas-based Wenzel Spine acquired Addison, Texas-based OsteoMed’s PrimaLOK SP Interspinous Fusion System as well as its PrimaLOK FF Facet Fixation System.

Here are five insights:

 

1. The PrimaLOK SP Interspinous Fusion System features a polyaxial interspinous process device for the minimally invasive treatment of lumbar spinal disorders.

 

2. The PrimaLOK FF Facet Fixation System includes a percutaneous facet screw system intended for the MIS treatment of lumbar spinal disorders.

 

3. The platforms offer surgeons an expanded MIS solution when used with Wenzel Spine’s VariLift-LX interbody fusion device.

 

4. Wenzel Spine will integrate the two technologies into its developing MIS solutions pipeline.

 

5. Wenzel Spine will conduct a nationwide launch of the PrimaLOK SP and FF Systems in the second quarter of 2017.
