InteliFUSE and Biomedical Enterprise Patent Dispute Over Orthopedic Device Settled

The U.S. District Court Judge has ordered a Stipulation of Dismissal for the patent infringement case between InteliFUSE and Biomedical Enterprises following a settlement for an undisclosed amount, according to a company news release.

InteliFUSE, a New Orleans-based orthopedic surgical device manufacturer that markets StimuLINK, accused Biomedical Enterprises of patent infringement. Under the settlement, the InteliFUSE patents under question were acknowledged as valid and enforceable patents.

The StimuLINK is a shape memory mini-implant designed for use in many orthopedic indications, including surgeries of the foot, ankle, hand and wrist. The device replaces plates, screws, rods, nails and wires.
