Small Bone Innovations Receives FDA 510(k) Clearance for rHead Extended Stem

Small Bone Innovations, a New York-based extremities device company, has received FDA 510(k) pre-market clearance for the radial Head Extended Stem for use in the correction of complex elbow instabilities and/or elbow reconstruction, according to a company news release.

The device is meant for use in conjunction with SBi’s Elbow Management System, which incorporates an algorithmic approach for surreys treating elbow fractures. The rHead Extended Stem increases the treatment options for elbow fractures where fixation may be inadequate.
