Dr. Parvataneni has a professional interest in joint replacement and reconstruction. He has authored several textbook chapters, and his research work has been published in Orthopedics and the Journal of Arthroplasty, among others. He previously served as chief of the arthroplasty division and associate residency program director at the University of Miami. He has won a number of awards, including the Teacher of the Year Award from the University of Florida’s orthopedic residency program in 2015.
Dr. Parvataneni earned his medical degree at the University of the West Indies School of Medicine in Trinidad and Tobago, after which he completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. He completed an arthroplasty fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston and a research fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City.
