Orthopedic surgeon to know: Dr. Rick Papandrea of Orthopaedic Associates of Wisconsin

Rick F. Papandrea, MD, an orthopedic surgeon, practices with Pewaukee-based Orthopaedic Associates of Wisconsin. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Society for Surgery of the Hand and American Medical Association. He is also an assistant clinical professor of orthopedic surgery at Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.

Dr. Papandrea specializes in elbow, hand and wrist procedures, including arthroscopy, joint replacement, arthritis reconstruction, ligament reconstruction and fracture reconstruction. He is a contributing editor for Year Book of Hand and Upper Limb Surgery and serves on the editorial board of Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma. He has won numerous awards over the course of his career, including the Outstanding Clinical Instructor award from the Medical College of Wisconsin and the Best Presentation and Layout for a Scientific Exhibit award from the American Society for Surgery of the Hand.

 

Dr. Papandrea earned his medical degree at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine in Madison and completed his residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in   Cleveland. He has completed a fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery at Harvard Medical School/Brigham’s and Women’s Hospital/Children’s Hospital, all located in Boston. He has also completed an adult upper extremity reconstruction at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn.
