When Dr. Schultz served in the Air Force from 1958 to 1995, he led a surgical team in Vietnam. A retired colonel, he earned the Bronze Star and Air Medal for his service. Dr. Schultz helped create the Pueblo Historical Aviation Society.
He served as the Colorado Springs, Colo.-based Air Force Academy orthopedic surgery chief and as the college’s football team physician.
Dr. Schultz earned his medical degree from Chicago-based Northwestern University.
