Here are five highlights:
1. Mayfield Brain & Spine is the largest physician group in the area focused on surgery related to the nervous system. Twenty-three physicians treat about 20,000 patients annually.
2. Mayfield surgeons specialize in back and neck pain treatment, brain and spinal tumors, scoliosis and spinal cord injury among other conditions.
3. Mayfield neurosurgeons will offer services at Mercy Health hospitals in Anderson Township, Green Township, Fairfield and Clermont Country’s Batavia Township as well as Cincinnati-based Jewish Hospital.
4. Jewish Hospital will be Mercy Health’s main neurosurgery center. Mayfield neurosurgeons will offer immediate care to medium-level severity brain and spine patients from other Mercy Health hospitals.
5. Those patients with low-severity neurological complications may see Mayfield neurosurgeons at other Mercy Health hospitals.
