Here are four points:
1. Touch Surgery’s nearly one million users can access the simulation app.
2. Through the app, users can learn about the Oxford Technique and its various benefits.
3. Touch Surgery and Zimmer Biomet created two versions of the Oxford technique, with each version featuring more than 300 steps where users interact and learn about the Oxford technique. One U.S. version replicated the FDA-cleared technique, and users outside the United States can access the other version.
4. On the app, users score themselves and improve upon their benchmarks.
“We’re honored to have partnered with Zimmer Biomet to create a simulation that furthers our goal of accessible surgical training to empower and connect a global surgical community,” said Andrew Chow, MD, founder of Touch Surgery.
