Orthopedic surgeon to know: Dr. Daniel Buss of Sports & Orthopaedic Specialists

Daniel Buss, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon practicing in Edina, Minn. Founder of Sports and Orthoapedic Specialists, Dr. Buss specializes in shoulder and elbow disorders. From 1990 to 2012, he was a team physician for the Minnesota Twins, and serves as an orthopedic consultant to Minneapolis-based University of Minnesota varsity athletics, St. Paul, Minn.-based Macalester College and Northshore Gymnastics in Maple Plain, Minn.

Leading publications including Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery, American Journal of Sports Medicine and Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery have published Dr. Buss’ work.

 

After earning his medical degree from the University of Minnesota, he underwent his residency at New York-based Hospital for Special Surgery. He completed his fellowship at Cornell University Medical Center in New York.
