Integra LifeSciences files lawsuit against HyperBranch Medical Technology — 4 key points

Integra LifeSciences filed a patent infringement lawsuit against HyperBranch Medical Technology in the U.S. District Court, according to Virtual-Strategy Magazine.

Here are four key points:

 

1. Integra alleges that HyperBranch’s Adherus Autospray Dural Sealant, Adherus Dural Sealant and Adherus Spinal Sealant all infringe patents licensed by Integra from Incept.

 

2. Integra’s suit claims that U.S. Patents 7,009,034; 7,592,418; 7,332,566; 6,566,406; 8,003,705; and 8,535,705 are infringed by HyperBranch’s Adherus products.

 

3. The lawsuit is seeking for HyperBranch to discontinue making, selling or offering to sell the Adherus products.

 

4. Integra is also seeking grant treble damages for willful infringement.
