Physician burnout & daily alcohol consumption: 8 statistics

Daily alcohol consumption is almost the same for burned out and non-burned out physicians, according to the Medscape Physician Lifestyle Report 2015.

Here are eight statistics:

 

Burned out physicians

 

•    More than two drinks — 4 percent
•    One to two drinks — 16 percent
•    Less than one drink — 50 percent
•    Don’t drink — 30 percent

 

Non-burned out physicians

 

•    More than two drinks — 3 percent
•    One to two drinks — 17 percent
•    Less than one drink — 48 percent
•    Don’t drink — 32 percent
