EOS imaging, Shriners Hospitals for Children enter into agreement

EOS imaging entered into a corporate agreement with Chicago-based Shriners Hospitals for Children to facilitate the implementation of the EOS system throughout the Shriners network.

The EOS system provides full-body stereoradiographic images of patients in both 2D and 3D. EOS exams require a radiation dose that is 50 to 85 percent less than digital radiology and 95 percent less than basic CT scans.

Four Shriners’ hospitals already use the EOS system, and the new agreement simplifies the process by which other hospitals in the network can acquire the system.
