SpineAlign Medical Begins VerteLift Systems Study in Europe

San Jose, Calif.-based SpineAlign Medical has enrolled its first patient in the European Observational Registry for the VerteLift System, according to a SpineAlign news release.

The VerteLift System is a minimally invasive approach to treating the pain and dysfunction associated with osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures. The implant is an expandable metal device that provides and maintains lift until bone cement can be injected, according to the report.

The VerteLift System is not yet available in the United States, but is currently under clinical evaluation with the FDA.
