OrthoSecure reads the barcodes on implant box labels and prominently displays a standardized eLabel on an operating room monitor. The system automatically verifies that each part is compatible based on the patient’s needs and the manufacturer’s most recent instructions as well as checks to ensure that the parts have not expired or been recalled.
SanDance Technology was formed in 2013 by orthopedic surgeon Steven Haas, MD, chief of knee service at Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, and Michael Roe, former founder, chairman and CEO of NaviSys, a software and consulting firm.
